MAHENDRAGIRI
BACKGROUND
Department of Tourism, Government of Odisha has invited for preparation of an integrated master plan for destination development of Mahendragiri in Gajapati District of Odisha as a prominent pilgrimage destination with requisite infrastructure and amenities.
The Mahendragiri, situated among the Eastern Ghats at an elevation of 1,501 metre in Gajapati district, is associated with the Hindu epic Ramayana as the Mahendra Parvata (Mahendra Mountain).Second highest mountain peak of Odisha after Deomali in Koraput district.
